The Excel Center on the Southwest side of Indianapolis is an adult high school in the Decatur area, dedicated to providing Core 40 diplomas, industry certification, and support to bring change and opportunity to the Indianapolis Southwest side. As a public school for adults, we provide free tuition, books, and child care in a supportive and flexible environment designed to help you meet your goals.
- Located at 5125 Decatur Blvd., Indianapolis, IN 46241, our adult learning center is designed for flexibility. We offer day and evening classes to help you earn your high school diploma.
- You can earn a high school diploma AND college credit at The Excel Center by taking dual credit classes. Graduating with FREE credits at Ivy Tech and other universities puts you on a path for success in higher education.

Stumpf Family Affair at Decatur
Siblings, Heather and John Stump, earned their high school diplomas at The Excel Center-Decatur in 2013. Their success inspired other members of their family to also pursue their education. To date, two members of the Stumpf family have graduated from Decatur, Heather and John, and three more members, Shannon, Ryan, and Pedro, are expected to graduate this year.
Travis Laminack Receives First Excellence Award
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) student, Travis Laminack, is the first recipient of the Academic Excellence Award, an annual award given to alumni who maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA while earning a minimum of 24 credit hours at a post-secondary institution.
A 2012 graduate of The Excel Center – Decatur, Travis was admitted to IUPUI’s Kelley School of Business in the summer of 2013 and will earn junior status following the fall semester. His goal is to become a CEO of a fortune 500 company. He plans to job shadow and interview business leaders before earning his degree.
